Ketubah

This is the main piece of artwork in our apartment. (Click for more details).

A ketubah is a Jewish wedding contract. Most couples put theirs on paper, but we received a special gift from Jason’s mom. She burned our wedding vows into a wooden plaque, flanked by images of the Tree of Life (a Jewish symbol) and Celtic knotwork (symbolic of Jason’s heritage). The final line of text is written in English and Hebrew print, as well as Hebrew braille.
